Kaiserpingvin LotGH definitely deserves it. I've only read Monster manga but I heard the anime is a very loyal adaptation so I agree wit hthe 10. The End of Evangelion... I didn't rate it a 10 but I can understand that, NGe is a great show and so is this movie. |

Kaiserpingvin said: ricosaur said: Psajdak said: @Jarez0: Cowboy Bebop had some rather boring episodes, so I couldn't give him maximum score. name one!! and explain what is boring about it =) All of them besides the one with actual cowboys and the one with Pierrot le Fou. They were predictable beyond belief, and did not make anything interesting out of the predictability at all. It is the most boring show I have seen in my life. Sadly, I cannot feel self-righteous about this, since it was decently enough directed, very well-animated and had a wonderful soundtrack :/ Also, don't doublepost :c As for your tenners: Cowboy Bebop is, as I already have shown myself to believe, a tad overrated, and definitely not masterpiece material. Mononoke is the best Miyazaki film I have seen though, so kudos on that. I don't see how its predictable to the point of being boring. How much of it did you actually predict before you watched it? I respect your opinion and sorry for double posting my bad. Lets look a Mononoke thats predictable to the same degree that Cowboy Beebop is but you enjoyed that as you gave it a 9. Are you sure there is not something else that you find boring about Cowboy Beebop? e.g. Style over subtance? |

Comment on the 10s? Cowboy Bebop - could never get into it. Just not my thing I guess. Princess Mononke - a really gross movie, so it was difficult to watch. Didn't like the main characters, and the ending was lackluster. IMO. |

Well we quite obviously have a different taste in anime. For the things you have given tens are things I have never heard of or that I thought were less then a ten. But that is all I can really say about it. What d o you see in fate/stay night? With the exception of Haruhi, we both gave that a ten. :) |

@Suzune-chan First off, pretty list is pretty. Feels so weird looking at your list with all the more serious dark stuff, and then "oh hey it's Haruhi!" Seeing Higurashi, Brotherhood, and Baccano in your tens made me smile... liked Lain too, but if you got it, please explain it to me ^_^" |

This is written about Suzune-chan's list, I hope I'm fast enough typing^^ With Haruhi, I don't really understand how it is worth to be rated ten, but it must be have some reasons, I guess^^ Shigofumi is a great, but depressing, angry-making show, but actually definitely worth the rating. In my opinion, Serial Experiments Lain was quite slow and as a result boring, but the setting was of course interesting. I guess, people, who understood the series, also gave it a better rating ;-) I gave Baccano a ten, too^^ I would have given Higurashi a 10, if the series had continued in the style of the first 4 episodes. Kai was nice, but I missed the fear and shock-effects^^ I haven't seen Blood+ yet. |

@mrmuk Well first off, I'm a little surprised you gave Code Geass R2 a 10 and the first season a 9. I guess train wrecks are just your thing. School Days pretty much solidifies that theory. I can respect Baccano!, Death Note, and Elfen Lied, but the 10 for Tomoyo-hen seems a little odd unless you're a HUGE fan of hers. To conclude, Akira is glorified eye candy and Princess Mononoke is terribly overrated. |

Sorry this is taking so long. But here is the long and short of it. First off beautiful background. I can see we watch very different types of anime. Very different indeed. I have not seen a good deal of your tens. Although I can understand how one would give Air a 10. It is cute, but I found it a little slow although pretty to look at. Other then that I found Mushishi hard to get into, so it is interesting to see that it was so good, I may have to try it again. Of course though the wonders of Haruhi! As a follow up to the one you did for me. I know light background dark anime, can't help it cut background was cute... |

ShadowbladeEdge I don't really disagree with the shows that I've seen on your list with 10's, except for Golden Boy which I didn't find funny at all. I also thought Hayate the Combat Butler got worse and worse as it went on, which is why I put it on hold. |

insan3soldiern Clannad ~After Story~ - didn't watch it yet, but After Story is a reason I decided to watch first season. Looking forward to see what's so great about it. Legend of the Galactic Heroes - one of titles I'll always remember. Most realistic characterisation I've ever saw in some anime. Maison Ikkoku - I only watched Maison Ikkoku: Deserted Island few days ago, and I really liked that relaxed and humorous old school anime atmospere. Just yesterday I watched Laughing Target and Fire Tripper, and few months ago Mermaid Forest OVA and Mermaid's Scar OVA, and I can pretty much say that I'll most likely find all of Rumiko Takahashi's work very enjoyable and pleasant to watch. Neon Genesis Evangelion - masterpiece Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion - most shocking anime movie I watched. Just like series, it raped my brain inside-out. Sickness. |

Psajdak: -LoGH, Utena, Evangelion (and EoE) are definitely worth it; you already have some of the best of the 90's in your 10s. I see you're currently working through Bebop, but I'm sure you won't stop enjoying it anytime soon. -Gurren Lagann and the Gunbuster incarnations make me happy too. Super robot done Gainax is always awesome. Otaku no Video is another Gainax classic, as it were, but I'm not sure what to think of it. -I haven't gotten to the original Macross series, but DYRL is my favourite of the Macross franchise (of which I'm not as much of a fan as I would be of Gundam), and Mari Iijima is pretty awesome. -Kino and Baccano are two of the best that the new millenium has had to offer, so it's nice to see them represented. -Nausicaa and Mononoke are two of Miyazaki's best; though my favourite is still Spirited Away. -I've heard good things about both Juuni Kokuki and GTO, and I have both waiting to be watched. -I can't say I'm a fan of Fate/Stay Night (or anything Type-Moon), though I guess I can understand why Nasu has his fans. -The Pokemon TV series and its movie incarnations never really appealed to me as much as the games, though I did find the first two movies better than the subsequent ones. -I don't really know what to think about Dragonball or Sailor Moon, actually, as I had never really been exposed to them during my childhood. Does that make me weird? I like it; it has both diversity and a fair share of good taste. To whoever follows, feel free to do my 9's as well if you want. :v |

qtipbrit Legend of the Galactic Heroes is awesome, of course, and definitely deserves a 10. However, it isn't so much better than other shows to be the only one to deserve a 10 imo. Aria is always great, I'm glad that you recognize since your probably one of the tougher raters I've seen on this site. Though I think Aria is fully deserving of a 10, unless the last episode (which I haven't seen yet) screws it up. I like Ef, but I always felt that it went a little to far at times with the art style. Kino's Journey and the rest that I have seen are great though. |

@insan3soldiern Wow, only 5 / 250 (2%) of all your completed series get 10s? My first reaction was "stingy?", but I'll go with "high standards" instead. And come to think of it, my % of 10s isn't that much higher, 4%. LOGH I have not seen, but I certainly can believe it's that good. Evangelion I believe deserves its position as one of the greatest anime of all time, although I gave the movie a 9 because it went too far over-the-top with "Kill 'em all" and unconventional animation. Clannad ~After Story~ -- I'm a big fan of Key/KyoAni and that genre of anime, but AS left me a little cold and disappointed with the way it executed things. Still a great show, and I definitely don't fault anyone for rating it that high. Maison Ikoku -- haven't seen that either... my gut tells me it's not quite that good, but that's all I have to go on. Also, that last episode of Aria the Origination should cement the 10 rating. |

@Zalis Air - Love air! Its a wonderful story, and I love Key! The ending made me cry! Aria the Origination - I watched the First season and it was nice, I really like the music and colors. I'm not sure about Origination but I plan to watch it soon! Cowboy Bebop - Definitely one of the best animes out there! Its in my top 5 favorites. I love all the characters and it has an awesome story! Elfen Lied - Very good show, I cried a few times! Excel Saga - I didn't really like this show, I found it really boring :( I do like the OP song though Fruits Basket - Great story, awesome characters, I love everything about this show. I hope they make a 2nd season to complete the ending! You have a lot of 10s a lot I would agree with! |

Wow, what an awful bunchhh of 10sssss' you have. Ok, I won't comment on ur 10's I haven't seen. I simply agree with ur scores for FMA/FMAB, Elfen Lied, Higurashi, code gess, Samurai X trust and betrayal, Full Moon and a lot of other stuff i've seen. tho i din give hell girl 10, it simply deserves a high rating, agree with u. IMO, correct me if i m wrong. You love emo shows, rite? So,, I can understand you for ur extra high all Key ratings. But, Valkyria chronicles got 10? is it a wayyyy too simple and predictable normal story anime? And, I do think seed should be on par with destiny, if not less. And, i think elemental gelade is overrated though. You give kimi ni todoke and letter bee 10 aldy, but is it a bit early? |

It seems we only agree on Code Geass and Elfen Lied Naruto is agood show but giving it a 10/10 is a bit much if Death Not ended after L's death i would agree with u LOGH is a masterpiece but there are times when i felt like it was dragging i dropped kenshin so i won't comment on it other than that we agree on some scores |

XD As for ur 10s, first of all, one piece is understandable, i also like it though i'm only at ep61. You are another generous person for giving out a lot of tens. CG, TTGL, Elfen lied are also my favs, though i find DtB to be abit boring. But FF VII is rated 10? FMP and black lagoon scores are all ok, though i doubt i will give them 10. Clannad and AS got 10. well, though i really dun like clannad AS, I'm not so surprised since it is the so-called best top one anime in MAL. btw, u dun seem to like other key stuff that much. Code Geass a 10? I strongly disagree, I just couldn't take it seriously and dropped it at episode 4. I also disagree with you giving Naruto a 10 but you probably gave it a 10 for the same reason that some people gave 10 to DBZ and Sailor Moon, it might be something that means alot to you but you admit that ot isn't the best anime ever. LotGH I completely agree. |

I don't believe in rating shows you are currently watching so while Dr. Slump and Urusei Yatsura may be good, what if you hate the end. Cowboy Bebop-I see that a lot, it deserves it Ergo Proxy-Didn't personally give it a 10, but yeah, it deserves it FLCL-A little too random for me, but okay Kara no Kyokai movies 3 and 5-Never seen them, no comment End of Evangelion-Whatever Serial Experiment Lain-Never seen it, no comment Kara no Kyokai movie 7-THIS IS EVEN OUT YET |

Demon City Shinjuku - gave it 7/10, I think 8/10 is the highest objective rating for it. Nothing extraordinary, even for early 90's sci-fi lovers. Metropolis - I gave it 8/10, but it's kinda specific and not for everyone to like, so that's no problem with 10. I didn't watch others or just don't like such kind of anime. That's all. |

ShadowbladeEdge I loved Fate/Stay Night. I need to get around to playing the VN. I've had it downloaded for ages but haven't found time to play. I can't wait for the UBW movie though. FLCL was enjoyable to an extent. The first season of Haruhi was awesome and adicting, I've devoted a significant amount of time performing the Hare Hare Yukai and several other Aya Hirano songs. It's a great way to stay in shape. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is one of my all time favorites. Exaggeration aside, this movie changed my outlook on a lot of things and I think improved my life for the better. Time Waits For No One. I have yet to see and/or finish Hayate, Lucky Star, TTGL, Hidamari Sketch, Toradora!, Spice and Wolf, Golden Boy, and First Squad |

I still prefer the original series. Nevertheless, we both appreciate Hideaki Anno's work. Come to think of it, we rated the original series with a score of 10 as well. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is another show that we both rated it a 10. I guess that's also a given. The rest of the other shows are 9s. I got a lot of 10s here which means I am not that picky. By the way, I saw a lot of 9s there, what makes the last point? Hopefully, you will pick my 10s as well. I can see that you already planned on watching them. Happy watching! |

Giving Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Kirameki Yoko Box ~Pieces of Sweet Stars~ a 10 without having seen the actual series is weird. I have watched some of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann but I haven't put it on my list because I saw random episodes on tv, and I like Yoko lol, but its just a music video anyway but i liked the song & obviously yoko! |

@ EuphoricField It's hard to pick apart your 10's since there are so many of them(Guess you think a lot of anime's are masterpiece's..i kid i kid). Anyways out of your currently watching i can see why Kimi ni Todoke and FMA Brotherhood could get 10's, they are both very good and are deserving of a high rank, a 10 may be a tad to high. As for Letter Bee i have only seen 2 episodes so far but i did not feel that it was worth a 10, although it might have improved. I did notice you gave Nana a 10(More love for it). But one thing that stuck out was the 10 on Higurashi Kai, i love Kai a lot but i do not feel it was as good as the first season nor does it deserve the same score. |

Aria the Origination - I ptw it. heard it's one of the best. I notice even some of the stingy guys rated it high. have to watch it. Maison Ikkoku - haven't heard of it. Nitre -man, you really outta watch more than 1 ep of Princess Tutu, the first 3 eps are practically designed to make you think it'll forever be an average magical girl garbage show, then it starts to turn around at episode 4 and by the end of the first half I had no doubt it was heading for a 10 and the ending only confirmed it. -haven't seen Gintama -GITS:SAC-I'll be seeing it this winter, it's an xmas gift -Mushi-shi-nice choice, can't blame you there, still a good personal favorite of mine ..and it would seem that's it! vv I have a couple 10s in my manga list too |

Wow, Nitre! Your anime list is so cool-looking. I'm quite interested in how you stuck in the little pictures like that. Anyways, your 10s. Definitely can't argue with Mushishi, seeing it's my #1 favorite anime. =D I've seen a few eps of GitS:SAC and found them very high-quality, but I just don't care quite enough for the genre. If I was more into dark sci-fi I'd probably like it a lot. (I do enjoy the opening theme song a lot, regardless though) I tried watching the first ep of Gintama but didn't find it funny. It's perhaps just not my style of humor. Edit: Crap, I was too slow again. For classicalzawa: Of your completed 10s, the only one I've tried watching is Guren Lagan, which I dropped after the first episode. Definitely don't see what is so special about it, since all the characters were annoying to me. Your other 10s don't look too interesting to me, though one day I might try the Galactic Heroes to see if it's as impressive as most people make it out to be. I'm not into space opera too much though, so I don't know. Never heard of your manga 10s, sorry. |

Pranay: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Never a bright idea to give top marks to a currently airing series. It's also a remake. Eureka Seven - It didn't impress me first time around, and I dropped it in under 10 episodes. Air surfing isn't cool in my mind. I'm going to give it another go on DVD next year when Beez release R2 AL sets for £15 x2. Baccano - I have it pre-ordered. I'm expecting greatness. TTGL - If not for people I wouldn't class as idiots 10ing it, I'd say only idiots give it top marks. Its last third almost made me give it 7/10. RK OVAs - Trust & Betrayal are up there with the best anime has to offer, where as the other OVA isn't too bad. Clannad - No clue. Air has put me off ever watching it. Over-rated moe rubbish FTL. 5cm Per Second - The most exciting thing about it is the erotic title. It came close to sending me to sleep a few times. |

I can see where the anime could be better, but it's actually on my list of "refuse to watch", sorry! -haven't seen Blue Seed, Comic Party, Demon City Shinjuku, Genshiken 2, FMP, anything One Piece, Soukou no Strain, or Vandread and never read Love Hina. -Castle in the Sky is my favorite Miyazaki movie, but I'm not a fan of his on anything else. -only saw half of FMA -Yay! someone else who rated Metropolis a 10! -I found Haruhi to be rather average, pretty good at times, but I hate Huarhi herself |

Aionic said: Pranay: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Never a bright idea to give top marks to a currently airing series. It came close to sending me to sleep a few times. even though everyone are entitled to have their own opinions but calling idiots who give it a 10 ? why so ? i feel its a great anime and it deserved the 10 Anyways its not a rule that everyone are suppose to like all great animes which exist but if you dont like it you call the people who like them and feel it deserves 10/10 idiots lol? to be frank death note anime part 2 is rubbish and doesnt deserve 10/10 beserk lol you gave the anime 10 ? lol Manga i could understand but the anime a 10 , i just finished the anime and it just deserves 7 at the most. anyways to counter what you say Fma brotherhood is damn consistent with the episodes and is great imo and way better then the filler made fma. If it follows the manga well, then it will get 10/10 score and it is following well apart from episode 30. As for 5cm per second , everyone has different opinions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Pranay TTGL - I'm not far enough in to give my opinion Rurouni Kenshin - Haven't seen Clannad ~After Story~ - One of my favorites 5cm Per Second - Another of my favorites Baccano! - One of the only only anime I've ever preferred the dubs to subs. This series is a masterpiece. Eureka seveN - I can agree with this, it was very well done and had a solid story. |

You're doing an amazing job of defending yourself... against what I would've said if not for TTGL bringing the inner moron out of even intelligent lifeforms, I must say. With excellent grammar, too. Go you, and you rating an adaptation of the best part of Berserk 7/10, defying all logic known to mankind. (I advise you not to post in this thread if you can't handle both love and hate. Without the bad, there's no good. I'm honest, direct and sarcastic - a bit of a an arse, to put it plainly.) The Sacred Blacksmith > Death Note / Xana: Kimi ni Todoke - Another one of these early 10-10-10 people, clearly. Xana doesn't even have the excuse of being an overly emotional fangirl. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo - If the plot made sense, and it was explained why a painting was so vital, it'd be a 9-10/10 film. It's too bad, really... Neon Genesis Evangelion - Must mistake depth for incomprehensibility. Such a shame about the lack of an ending/budget... Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion - The 'best fight in a red robot ever' and the shota kiss didn't make up for the ending fuckery. Make a movie to explain the ending and explain fuck all - that's the best plan ever. Gankutsuou - Well, you aren't entirely devoid of taste, I'll give you that. But pretty much everyone with a functional brain gives Gankutsuou top marks, so you aren't so special. Higashi no Eden - Yeah, you jump on the bandwagon; giving 10's to the undeserving. Some people need the ability to rate 10/10 removed... The Place Promised in Our Early Days - The first half I liked; slice of life and a love triangle. The second half fucked it all up with supernatural nonsense pulled out of a rather hairy arsehole. You should 10/10 Ocean Waves instead. That's a pro tip. Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone - 10/10 to the three Eva's. You ain't no fanboy. Memories: Magnetic Rose - I can't remember much about this; I just know I enjoyed it. I'll let you off. |
