The bitter rivalry between the Honki People of Senya and Ichiya, it really wasn't how things would be expected to be unfolded,

With Senya out of Arajin's body, it's time to deal with Matakara with Ichiya, but his forlorning on dealing with Arajin is kept on hold...just because, and he has to deal with his own group first before getting to him. With Doman finding Arajin and Marito out of commission, Siguma may have been done for, but they're not done yet. This is pretty much true for Matakara when he first joined Minato Kai, and now that past is gone forever...if they can get Arajin to convince Matakara to stop his act.

Zabu, even if he's powerless to stop Matakara, he pressed on because of his buddy relationship with him. Komao on the other hand, wants Arajin to see Matakara's match against Doman, which they just made it. The brother who was left all alone without a family, not without his older brother Mitsukuni, Doman knew, but spared on defense to equal against the young brother. And the grit of Matakara to even make use of Ichiya's power to take Doman down, and he feels accomplished doing so.

Arajin must step up to the plate again with Senya, otherwise there'll be no end to this Honki People's conflict.

Senya is right for once, for trying to know ichiya mindworks why he want to put his life on line. But miscommunication is once happen again and they could not meet in life. It's painful to see Matakara like this, he manipulated by ichiya and will be taken his body after this. Ken san entrusted his final wish to Arajin to stop Matakara. I will be okay if matakara beat Arajin to pulp but his friends, Zabu is genuinely a good friend, it vain violence show by matakara.

The nyan sensei seem yandere over Jasmine chan, like for real.

Nice episode. The fight was animated really well, but I'm guessing the fight next episode will be even better.

This anime deserves at least 7/10

This was another great episode.

No more pity in his eyes, we can all see how his character changed.

Impossible to not feel the pain.

They kept the best fight for the last episode.

Spoiler alert : fight of the year contender, don’t say that I didn’t warned you 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Bro I was not prepared for that Zabu beatdown, my poor guy.. :(( What a well done and gruesome scene, it made both my heart and stomach sink.

Crazy how bleak this show has become, I've loved the change in atmosphere a lot but it's also been tough watching Matakara gradually lose himself. I really hope he can bounce back from this somehow, it hurts to see him ignore everyone who's trying to reach out.

It was a hard watch. Poor Zabu. I felt so bad for him. That beatdown was so bad. It felt so painful. Amazing animation sequences again in this episode. And, Kenichiro was the coolest. He stood tall till the end.

Looks like Arajin is finally gonna get serious and face Matakara seriously. I was scared that we wouldn't see Senya again but Arajin will merge again with him. Can't wait to see how this will conclude next week.

It's good that they didn't half-ass it in making Evil Matakara. However, the power scaling is ruined lol. How can Matakara in the past survive Doman's attack, but in the future (episode 2) had a very difficult time against Jabashiri? How can Doman who is supposed to be even with Marito and once fell from Marito's attack be able to survive the attack of Matakara Djinn mode who was able to one shot Marito? Moreover, this should be a stronger version of Matakara since he fought Marito. You can still use the alibi that Doman got some extra mental strength here, but it still feels messy. Suddenly there's a significant gap between Marito and Doman lol. So, for now it's basically Matakara Djinn mode >> Doman > Marito > or ≥ Arajin Djinn mode > Matakara <=> or ≥ Shindo Djinn mode. The reason Shindo is quite low is simply because he got one shot by Arajin Djinn mode's effective attack in episode 6 (ineffective attacks don't count). This is a powerful version of Arajin Djinn mode that was able to make Marito and Doman instantly serious at the beginning of the series so this also makes Arajin Djinn mode above the latest version of Matakara without Djinn.

I keep wondering why people keep ragging on the Arajin being "trash" (badly written), he is literally the thing which pushes the story forward. The main character doesn't have to be perfect (meaning they do everything you'd expect a morally good person to do) in order to tell a "correct" story. People have some weird warped perception about what a main character HAS to be. In this story we're meant to focus on the events that resolve AROUND this main character, who, is used as the indirect-direct driving force for the entire story. If Arajin became Mr. Gigachad, say by like episode 3 or 4, and stopped everyone and everything, and didn't keep running away, then literally none of this story can exist. That being said, this episode has shown how all of this is building up and going to be quite the showdown between Matakara and Arajin. There is no running anymore, Arajin knows that.

Post thought: Don't get me wrong I'm not going to be dying (like poor Zabu this ep) over this anime claiming it's "peak", but it really is far from how many keep trying to deem this as bad or trash. I'll probably give the anime a solid 7/10, providing they don't somehow completely actually ruin the episode without having a good emotional fight.

Probably the weakest episode so far. I still like the show but I feel like it could've been a lot better and the focus is going i the wrong direction recently.

Next up is the finale. I hope it won't be too predictable. And I hope we see Jasmine-chan!

@Bisalissy agree with wrong direction. The whole Evil-God-Matakara just came way too suddenly, too late in a 12 episode anime. Dude then had a max powerup 5 minutes after gaining the power. Nothing wrong with WHAT happened but with how it came to be. I think it feels that way due to the show trying to shove so much into the last 3 episodes and teasing a huge finale where all loose string reach together.

Thing is, the show just wasn't that deep with not much going on until the end where so much suddenly is shoved in. Next episode will have to have (not my wish but actually teased/verbally exclaimed in show): Arajin merging, Arajin fighting Matakara, Matakara redemption arc (hope he isn't let off too easy), what happens to the gangs afterwards, Mahoro doing SOMETHING? (was a comedic relief char that randomly had to get fake depth in the last 1/4th of the show..), the HONKI MAIN STORY finally progressing past "let me merge!", a proper finale.

This simply is WAY too much for 20 minutes. Even if there is a 2nd season coming, it feels incredibly rushed. The first 9 eps were a slice of life comedy-style introduction and the last 3 are super high speed rushed action john wick hollywood-depth productions.

In the beginning Ichiya was irritated during his fight with Senya; makes me wonder that may e Senya was holding back not with the intention to kill his opponent. (Guys who are kind are the strongest)

Ken-san spoke for rarest time with Arajin. Arajin can do it.
Matakara has been fighting and training for a long time compared to Arajin. Even with Majin Senya in his body, it'll be difficult to deal with Matakara.

So they’re finally gonna merge. Fitting that next week finale will be an opportunity for Ichiya and Senya as well as Arajin and Matakara to resolve their issues. The fact both sets of friends fell out over poor communication.. lol. Just gonna see what MAPPA cook up here. Plot has kinda gone off the rails since the halfway point

Poor Mahoro idc if ppl don’t like her, i like her bc she just loves her brother bc that’s her only family I guess since we haven’t seen their parents at all😕

Yeesh what Matakara did to his good for ex Zabu was the most brutal beating so far in this anime I mean bro was bleeding so much and Matakara didn’t give a single shit and kept kicking his unconscious body, like that shit was so painful to watch man😣☹️

Ken-san finally spoke!!! And we finally got to see his eyes as well that was the highlight for me during this episode I mean I don’t think I’ve heard bro talk ONCE at all since this anime started, too bad bro got whooped which wasn’t for bc Matakara was using Ichiya🙁

So next Saturday is the last episode cant wait to see the final fight between 2 childhood best friends I hope MAPPA goes off with the animation fr🔥🔥🔥

Matakara giving arajin the motivation he needs to fight and not back down. Next ep about to be hype af. Matakara vs Arajin, Senya vs Ichi. Also, Za-chan getting beat within an inch of his life was hard to watch. He is such a strong supporting character, and a great friend.

I love this anime. The protagonist used to be so simp at the beginning but now I'm very interested on how is developing the plot. PD.: The opening and ending songs are my favourite of this season.

So far I can see Arajin finally have his character development. And looks like Matakara has been having multiple character development in the past.

Looking at his room, Arajin could have been a interesting character with such a manga collection and being a bass guitar player. Too bad he's a very misplaced MC in this plot.

Zabu's beating down was so depressing, and Matakara in hindsight seems more and more like Kenny from Cobra Kai for some details. Weird to think that's only one remaining episode.
