For my life painting class, we were required to make a few self portraits as out of class assignments. The first one was black and white, and was supposed to be "Artiste Extraordinaire" themed, and this one was full color with us in some kind of costume. My costume was just a big scrap of fox fur I salvaged from an old thrift store coat, which I wrapped around my head to look like a fur lined hood. It was nearing the end of the semester, so I had to do this one sort of fast, but it turned out to be one of my best life paintings!
It hadn't snowed in a really long time, so this painting was sort of an artistic prayer for snow. And when I woke up the next morning the whole city was blanketed in white! I <3 the snow so much, I'll always be a mountain kid at heart I think. ^^
