I've been having the same issue aswell, also running a 13900k. None of your fixes have done anything for me though. Bios is up to date and i dont really want to mess with the voltages as i know my cpu is stable with its current volt and i dont want to push more then it needs.

Any other theories out there?
you can't say the fixes haven't done anything if you haven't even tried them

I'm not grumpy, I'm just coded that way.

Especially when the one he haven't tried appear in many threads as being the solution.

I was having this issue, and it seems like increasing my core voltage using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility fixed it. Considering I've been playing lots of other games without issue, it does seem strange that a visual novel, of all things, will crash without increased voltage, but it seems to have done the job.

What did the trick for me was using Intel's Extreme Utility and going from x55 to x54. That's for Ren'py games.
I also had crashes in every Unity game too and what fixed that was lowering PL1 and PL2 in BIOS.

2 issues, 2 fixes.

No other type of games were not crashing at all, just these renpy/unity porn games.

I have 14900K, all renpy games crashed, I have already reinstalled Windows, updated all drivers, went to all forums and read all the solutions on github, nothing helped. And accidentally found this thread and changed the value in Intel's Extreme Utility from 52x to 51x and everything worked.

Yeah, it's a relatively well known issue with 14900K CPUs that especially affect Python, but not only it.

How did you manage this? I get all options greyed out. Unless I'm on the wrong track here. So far is the only option I haven't tried, because I literaly can't.
And for me the SHIFT + G and change the render option seems to make it somehow temporally more stable, but games still crash eventually, just less frequently.

Oh, and only tried this with one game, but with SHIFT + G again and disabling Powersave seemed to stop the crashes for the moment.

If you have this issue update your bios, if it still persists your CPU have degraded too much and the only fix is to get a new one.

Thanks for this solution it's been driving me crazy these random crashes. I have a 14900K and was about to reinstall windows before I tried this and it worked like a charm.
