Taiki really deserves some sympathy here. Right after such a great "date" (or whatever you want to call it) with Chii, he comes back to the news that he’s now taking over as the prince in the play, all because of that ridiculous fortune he decided to draw just minutes earlier.... lol. This definitely puts the love triangle into full effect. I love how Taiki made sure to tell Chii about the change of plans ahead of time. Even with everything on his mind, he still wants to be upfront with her.

It was also about time for a certain someone to join the cast. Honestly, I kind of forgot she was supposed to show up this season. That someone, ofc, is Ayame. I’m still surprised the story introduced a new character in what seemed like such a major episode with that kiss. But Ayame feels like the perfect character to address the weird dynamics in the group, though it made more sense after finding out it wasn’t actually a kiss. Taiki was a chad there for a second yadda yadda, yeah.

And to wrap up the arc, Chii is back where she belongs: Taiki’s home, for the final arc of the anime.

I LOVE Blue Box! it feels like such a long time we got a romance anime like this it also feels so realistic, relatable not cringe and the characters are also mature with good writing and with good production value behind the anime I think Blue Box will be a classic and one of the best romance anime to exist

Kyou is one of those romance anime characters that push the protagonists to understand themselves and their feelings; basically the voice of reason, but hiding a sad past (which we've already seen glimpses of). He's so good that he even rewrote the Snow White play to make it make sense; Disney could never do that.

In my opinion, I think Hina and Taiki kissed, and that's why Hina said she would tell Chinatsu that they didn't. Taiki flat out denied the kiss, not wanting to deal with rumors about him and Hina; obviously to protect Hina, but also because he was upset that Chinatsu saw it. Hina noticed that, so it was basically a rejection for her. But even if the kiss wasn't real, Taiki's feelings for Chinatsu are still 100% real, though that doesn't mean feelings for Hina can't co-exist 😂.

Who is this new girl? I doubt she's another love rival.

I feel bad for Hina. Imagine getting a near dream scenario and people start thinking you are a thing only for the guy to just angrily brush it off.

at least Team Chinatsu is going to win I guess 🥲

Man, this was the hardest episode to watch so far.
I feel bad for Hina because she really likes Taiki. But love isn't about another person sharing your feeling because you've just told them that you like them. Love should be only when the guy and the girl like each other.
I wish Taiki man up a bit and be more sincere with Hina, Chinatsu and himself.
Now his first "date" suggested by Chinatsu ended on a low note.
This arc was painful, this pseudo-kiss and the time Chinatsu heard Hina telling Taiki she loves him and Hina herself telling her so ... so painful

Man, I was hoping this anime wouldn’t give us the school play (almost) kiss trope, but we aren’t so fortunate. I feel like Taiki was really being punished in this episode for simply doing his job. Now everybody looking at him funny now because his class can’t rig a confetti ball 🎊.

I do have to give the story credit that even doing a trope I don’t like—it does it with clever symbolism. Snow White finds true love with a kiss, Hina loses her true love with a kiss.

Also: we get a brand new supporting character this late in the season? At one of this season’s pivotal moments?! This series likes to take the traditional formula and go big with it.

I love how Taiki immediately broke character to protect Hina but part of me wished he somehow improvised blocking the confetti ball as part of the play like it was a delayed spell from the Evil Queen or something. Might've unlocked his inner Oscar-winning actor too.

It's gonna be a sad day when Taiki decides to stop adding milk to his coffee.

Ain't no freaking way they actually made Taiki the prince. Lmao. But it turned out surprisingly well. Taiki made a smart move by warning Chinatsu in advance about him playing the prince. This would've been way more dramatic if this took place in the 80s or 90s. He's lucky to live in an age where modern smartphones and the internet exist.

Of course, the play couldn't go without some drama. A literal ball dropped which made it seem like Taiki and Hina actually kissed. Chinatsu looked sad after witnessing it. And then Hina looked sad after Taiki was aggressively telling others they didn't kiss. What a shitty situation for everyone involved. I feel bad for Hina especially. Homegirl didn't deserve this. But at least Chinatsu is moving back to the Inomata household. Taiki will have plenty of time to clear up the misunderstanding.

Introduction to a new girl called Ayame. I wonder what her deal is. Only 5 episodes left. I hope we'll get some type of conclusion with the season finale.

I’d very much like to have a conversation with the manga author and find out what he plans to do with this massive problem the anime has caused. I am of course referring to the fact that audiences have reacted far more positively to Hina as a love interest rather than Chinatsu and it’s clear why, Taiki and Hina have much better chemistry. If Taiki and Chinatsu get together in the anime, the audience will riot.

Fun as always, but I'm finding the animation kinda lackluster and the scenarios contrived. Too many convenient coincidences just happen to magically involve all the major characters.

I like Taiki standing up for himself! I think his post-mortem conversation with Hina was pretty great. And the ending of this episode was hilarious.

@CarbonMD seethe and cope. The one who will perish is Hina after getting brutally rejected by Taiki. That pathetic, toxic bitch Hina will be so miserable after she gets rejected and becomes background character, She will be suffering so much when Taiki and Chinatsu start dating. we Chinatsu fans are gonna enjoy the rest of the story and next season and you Hina fans will be miserable and salty. It's over for Hina in two episodes, enjoy.

Hina perfect lmao She has no dignity and self-respect. The guy rejected her, told her he loves someone else and this pathetic, selfish bitch can't take no for an answer. Immature and ignorant character just like her fans.

I'm annoyed by both Taiki and Hina tbh. On one hand, Taiki doesn't have a spine and never put his foot down so now he has an awkward friendship with Hina and comes across as uncommitted to his feelings for Chinatsu. And on the other hand, Hina's selfishness made the friendship awkward for Taiki while fully being aware of his feelings and refusing to take no for an answer. She's literally using their friendship to manipulate him emotionally just to pry him away from the person he likes. It's all wrapped in this fluffy and cutesy anime, but feels icky all the way down just to force drama. I guess "spicy" triangles sell though.

Forced drama

There was an accident in real life people would have focused on the accident not the "kissing" ...

Imaging someone stabs the character and she falls on the MC and kisses him by accident no one would talk about the kissing! It is the murder that matters here.

Bad episode the just want to enforce more drama

While his acting was rather wooden, Taiki did give it his all to play the role of the prince in the Snow White play, including some rewrite thanks to Kyo to give the prince more character development. That's something the live action remake from Disney should've done, but too late for that now...

Sadly, thanks to a rush job from someone, the confetti ball wasn't tied up properly and it fell. I give Taiki more respect for putting himself in harms way to protect Hina, but it did leave them in a compromising position which has led to a fast rumour spread of them potentially kissing. Personally, I don't think they kissed, although trying to convince everyone that is far easier said than done, so Taiki's frustration about that is very understandable.

This episode did introduce a new girl, Ayame, who wasn't a fan of the rewrite for the Snow White play. With the short screentime that she did have in this episode, I see her being the wrecking ball that's going to cause disruption and chaos and if it helps to further the enjoyment of this series instead of hindering it, then I'm all for it.

Only time will tell how this love triangle will change up considering how conflicted Taiki is about how he feels for both Chinatsu and Hina.

Okay im sorry this might have been the stupidest episode ever. Like I love anime and manga and I know they can have some dumb or unrealistic moments which can be funny, cute, sweet or like the fake kiss scene in this episode incredibly cringe.

Like im sorry your telling me a single piece of confetti made everyone assume they kissed?! I know this is anime but holy hell that's so stupid I swear the second half of this show has been all over the place with some good episodes, bad episodes and then whatever the hell this episode was.

but hey im really hoping we get something interesting happen with the twin tails girl because I swear I thought she'd never get introduced at this rate either that or just give me more Haryu and Karen. I don't hate the three main characters but some of the moments they have together are so cringe or stupid.

my rating for this show was originally an 8 but now at episode 20 its bordering on a 6.

This anime knows how to create drama!

Before talking about the "kiss" incident, can we appreciate how Taiki did his best to support the play, because he knew that it was important for his class and for Hina, that worked hard to memorize her lines?

When they showed the ball with the confetti, I thought right away "they're going to use the confetti to hide the kiss", and so they did, with the usual "Oops, I fell right into your lips", something that was actually used before with Chinatsu too. What surprised me was that they actually didn't kiss, I was just being evil minded by having the view that the public had. It was a breath of fresh hair honestly, and it also brings a lot to the table, especially between Taiki and Hina, because it's clear that Hina didn't particularly like what happened, since it put them in a weird position, making it seem like they are dating. Chinatsu certainly didn't like that, and I'm sure she would like to know if they actually kissed or not, but does not have the courage to ask Taiki, even because it could put him in a hard spot. But the end of the episode clearly revealed that she was troubled by what happened.

I still wonder if Kyou has feelings for Hina. I personally don't think he has any feeling for her, at least for now. But it's a good bet that they might end up together by the end of the story.

I'm really curious to see how will Taiki and Hina deal with the pressure from the colleagues now that everyone thinks they kissed on stage, making their relationship even more troubled.

It was really cute to see Hina offering up to clear things up to Chinatsu. She really wants to win Taiki's heart over, instead of pushing him into a relationship where only one of them is into the other person. Chinatsu was also a cutie for appearing in the play and being so happy to see Taiki act.

The purple haired girl from the concept art and opening finally appears! For sometime I thought she would be just a sight, because we're already by episode 20 and no sign of her. But her appearance was really short. I wonder what role she will have in the anime, but to appear in both the opening and concept art, it must be an important one. I just hope it isn't another romantic interest for Taiki, that would be kind of lame honestly, I don't know if I would appreciate that. But from the dialogue she had this episode, I might suspect she will be more of a friend to Taiki, and help him make the difficult decision between Hina and Chinatsu (and in the Concept art she is standing between the 2, alongside Taiki).

Also, we had some Taiki and Kyou moments this episode, we need more of them. Also, Kyou making the prince and Snow White know each other before she actually is poisoned is so true, and you know that he's a keeper after that.

Ahhh, can't wait for the next episode! Had to wait a long while for this, for some reason it was released quite late.

This too! It was like she was getting already rejected by Taiki. It's obvious she didn't like the situation that Taiki was put in, because of said "kiss", but watching him so firmly denying the kiss, must have been hard for her.

Isn’t the Kyo’s VA the same as Mash Burndead from Mashle: Magic and Muscles?

I don’t like Hina. She wants all the attention from Taiki and interferes too much in his life. Taiki should confess to Chii as soon as possible, it won’t be good if she gets it all wrong.

Taiki is just a young man trying to experience love for the first time, so it’s okay if he can’t yet distinguish between admiration and love. Thanks to Kyou for pointing that out,Taiki clearly has feelings for Hina, but his admiration for Chinatsu is clouding things. He just needs time to sort out his emotions.

But I gotta admit, even if it was just an accident, that kiss scene was absolutely beautiful. A clear win for the great Hina-sama!

I’m also curious about the gyaru who showed up later. She definitely looks like she’s about to stir up some trouble.
