WTF....IGN reviewed Uncharted 2 already!?!?!

just saw it on there gonna watch the video review now. I know it comes out in 3 weeks, which is not real soon but not distant, but it must of went gold copy awhile ago. Need time to print mad copies since the ps3 will have more systems out there due to the price cut maybe?

IGN 95 Official playstation mag 100 and Gamesradar 100 according to metacritics database on game reviews. The IGN review sounds amazing for this game the gameplay, voiceovers, physics, story and replay value are being touted as second to none. The dude also says the graphics are the best of the best these days and your jaw will drop. we'll see on Oct 13th.

Id say the reviews are promising......:nanner::thumbsup:

Wait a minute 95/100, 100/100 and 100/100? Greatest game ever already?

Depends on how one looks at games. What makes the greatest game of all time???? Nothing, its impossible. People might not like the adventure genre,so their opinions will be biased and how games rate and are talked about is all preference and opinionated. You either like the game or you dont, you either like the genre or you dont. However,a game should be branded "one" of the best ever,by how flawless it is. Is there screen tear, slowdown offline and online, freeze bugs when loading, too many enemies on screen make the game chug, the physics arent good etc.

Uncharted2 should be,and will probably be tagged "one" of the best games ever made purely because the reviewer said that Naughty dog pulled off one hell of a feat in every aspect of a videogame with very minimal negatives. In the world of games and todays tech that runs them, its extrmemely hard to pull off a videogame that is huge and has so many moving parts that make it work, and everything looks and runs smooth all at the same time.

In "greatest game ever" I meant the way the ratings being very high. I highly doubt Uncharted 2 will be the greatest ever. On IGN it seems the editors loved it but the reader review was not so high around 7.5. It dont matter what the reviewers say, Im still gonna get it.

I'm always wondering how users can even rate it allready...?! Only reviewers can play the full game at this time....

I always wondered about this until I inquired........The game is 3 weeks away and it has a user review score?????? The user review is a review of the review. Did I confuse you? I thought so.... Its a IGN subscriber score on what they thought of the review not the game. They cant think anything about the game except maybe expressing fanboy opinions cause its not in there hands for 3 weeks.

If you look at the comments people post at the bottom of the reviews, people will sometimes go so far as to tell the reviewer that he or she has a million grammar mistakes in their review. Why they do this,I have no idea????

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
3 weeks away...yea, I can see IGN reviewing it then. They always get access to games early. They aren't the only ones either. Most if not all of the major video game review sites/mags get a hold of the games early. Its not a full copy just a level or 2 so they can make an educated review.

Its preemptive though. I don't bother with taking the reviews to serious untill after a game is released. They go back and play it again, this time they'll let you know how repetitive it is, or not.

Thank you for the explanaining, Lachemo!
And indeed, it is quite a mystery why people would want to waste their time correcting a reviewer to me, too!

When a game goes gold copy that means its finished and in "ready to print" state. Uncharted2 went gold copy guite some time ago actually, so the reviewer had the full game. Also with a game like that, the better outlets that have to keep a good reputation ala Gameinformer,IGN,teamxbox, gamepro, official xbox or playstation mags, have to have the finished game before reviewe because.....lets say at the end theres 100 enemies on screen and the game slows down to 10 fps and this didnt happen the whole game, than the reviewers need to see that and make note.

If its a sports game, well hell play a bunch of offline and online games where its linear and doesnt change like a story and you can fuckin' write a review off of a demo on xboxlive....

Thank you for the explanaining, Lachemo!

your welcome.

Already the hype is kicking in and it has yet to see the light of day. Hype can all but kill a game if you let it get to you. As you will be on the look out for ANYTHING wrong with the game due to the high scores it gets.

Like GTA IV the first Uncharted got hyped beyond it's contents quality. And was defended by little boys who attacked any kind of negative view on those two games. Only for some of those attackers to turn to the side of those they attacked after REALITY SANK IN a month or two down the line.

Time will tell on this one when it arrives. I more or less always look open minded toward the games that slip under the radar first and treat hyped games with caution.

I remember how you trashed Killzone2 for being overhyped, saying it played and looked like garbage and sold it to a friend after giving it a chance for 1 WHOLE hour :dunno:

Anyway,I respected your opinion on Killzone2 even though I disagreed and as you know Uncharted 1 and 2 are Sony exclusives so your opinions on these games are consistent with your overall views.......that said I respect your opinion on Uncharted 1 and 2 as well cause even though I disagree thats the way I roll.......:hatsoff:

Uncharted is just an ordinary adventure title with a NICE graphics engine. Some people get so caught up in the fact that the game is really nice looking, that they forget to look past the superficial side to the game. Graphics do not make a game. They are only there to add to the over all quality. It is true though that a lot of gamers today look at graphics when judging a game and make such things vital to the buy or leave it option. Not me though. I'll buy it even if it looks like Vampire Rain or Uncharted, if it appeals to me as a game.

Yeah, it looked good, but the gameplay was even better...!
I didn't know about Uncharted, when buying a PS3 pack with this game for free. I really, really enjoyed it, even though I didn't know anything about any hype.

I think you just dislike games because of a hype, or maybe even just b/c they're PS3 exclusives. That's even worse than riding along in the hype imo...

PS: I didn't like KZ2 either, but I'm fair enough to say it's just not my type of game (just like Halo, Halo 2, etc). In other words: don't say it's a crappy game, just b/c you don't like the hype...

I have bought all three Sony machines and the PSP so don't hit me with the crap it is because it is exclusive to one particular console.

Learn how a person works before mouthing off crap on their direction next time, wee man. You sound just like that guy above. All because you don't like a negative view towards something you cherish.

I'm not commenting on you as a person, I'm commenting on your posts above, in which you give a very shortsighted view on Uncharted 2.
So my comment on it maybe being the fact of being an exclusive did it for you was completely wrong and out of the blue (sorry for that, btw). It's just the shortsightedness I wanted to adress.

Very well said Paveman......you have the rare "its all about having fun with the games" outlook.
